The Dore & Totley Scout Gala is a great opportunity to show our support to the uniformed groups, who do such a fantastic job throughout the year, providing fun and engaging activities for our children and teenagers. The rich and varied programme they offer helps to build confidence, develop skills and encourage good interpersonal relationships. I see the fruit of this whenever I’m at events with the uniform groups, where they are always respectful and polite and I’ve also experienced this personally for the first time this year as my son has joined Beavers. He absolutely loves it, always coming back with a big smile on his face (along with mud, chocolate, sticky tape and more). Hats off to those who give up their time and energy week in and week out. 

So, whatever the weather come and enjoy the activities on the Rec and spend your hard earned cash freely - it’s all going to a great cause.
